There are 116 kids to shop for!!!!!!

Each year Positive Images (PI)*, organizes an event for the women involved in the PI program to allow them to give gifts to their children on Christmas. There are “stores” set up by the various shopping items (clothes by size, toys, etc.) and the women are allowed to select an outfit and a toy or accessory for each of their children. It’s a wonderful experience for everyone involved.
For this event to be successful, we need a lot of assistance from people like you. Here are the different areas that this event needs your support.
Adopt a child: This involves shopping for one or more of the children. When you adopt a child, you will be given the gender, age and size of that child. You will purchase the child an outfit and an age appropriate toy. For teenage children (13-18) an accessory is appropriate. The ages range from 0 —18 years old.
Monetary Donations: Your monetary donation will be used by a Positive Image representatives to shop for the children that were not adopted.
Donate gift wrapping items: After moms are done shopping for their children we provide a gift-wrapping station. Donations of wrapping paper, bows, gift boxes, gift bags, tape, labels etc. are needed to make this a success.
Event volunteers: In order to provide this opportunity for the clients of PI, we need the support of a LOT of volunteers on the day of the event. We typically service about 100 women and assist in the shopping for about 150 children. Some of the major areas where assistance is needed are:
Client Shoppers (assist the women with selecting their items)
Storekeepers (keep order and provide assistance within the stores)
Gift Wrappers
Entertainment (help keep the women entertained while they wait to shop)

Dennis’ kidney function was up today and they were able to perform the surgery this afternoon. Praise God everything went well. He will stay in the hospital overnight and be discharged tomorrow if everything looks good.
Thank you all for your prayers.
